The Young Economic Forum (YEF) Istanbul 2025 concluded after establishing a new paradigm for economic leadership development through an unprecedented partnership consortium.
Leveraging Istanbul's unique positioning at the confluence of European, Asian, and Middle Eastern economic systems, the forum brought together emerging economic leaders to develop comprehensive capabilities for navigating global trade complexities, technological disruption, and sustainability imperatives.
Strategic Partnership Consortium
The forum's strategic partnership consortium integrated diverse expertise: the SETA Foundation's policy research and geopolitical analysis, ASKON's Anatolian business network and emerging market experience, TÜGVA's youth leadership development capabilities, and Madrissa Sinan Pasha's intellectual rigour and ethical frameworks. This collaboration created comprehensive learning environments combining academic research, practical business experience, youth empowerment methodologies, and philosophical grounding.
“This forum represents the most comprehensive approach to economic leadership development available in the region, highlighting the unprecedented institutional collaboration.”
Integrated Modules & Innovation
YEF Istanbul's six-module architecture addressed critical economic leadership competencies often overlooked in conventional programmes. "Global Economic Trends" leveraged SETA's geopolitical expertise to develop forecasting capabilities, while "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Digital Economy" used TÜGVA's innovation networks to explore AI applications and fintech development in emerging markets.
By integrating policy research, business networks, youth development, and intellectual rigour, the forum created educational opportunities that combine analytical sophistication with practical applicability and cultural authenticity.
The innovative "Sustainable Economies and Green Growth" module integrated traditional ecological wisdom from the Sinan Pasha Foundation with ASKON's sustainability experience to address development–environment tensions. "Economic Resilience and Crisis Management" drew on Turkey's crisis navigation experience to develop antifragile economic systems capable of benefiting from uncertainty.
Outcomes & Future Vision
Distinctive modules included "Youth as Drivers of Economic Policy," combining TÜGVA's advocacy expertise with SETA's policy analysis to develop participants' capabilities for influencing economic policy formulation. The concluding "North–South Cooperation and Regional Economic Integration" module examined successful regional integration while developing frameworks for equitable global economic architecture.
Strategic outcomes include enhanced economic analysis capabilities, innovative project implementation with ongoing business development support from ASKON, and effective professional network utilisation across all partner organisations. Success measurement focuses on participants' sophisticated economic analysis abilities and actionable recommendation development for complex challenges.
